Biography

DeeSaxx, an international saxophonist playing mostly with DJs. Not only an original artist on the club scene, but also on different events for reputable corporates, in 5* hotel resorts, or at private parties and weddings, across Europe through Africa, Asia or the Caribbean.

Officially he started performing as DeeSaxx in 2011 and now he joins about 100+ events a year. In January 2024 we can speak about performances in 22 countries on 4 continents. In 2023, he made 123 performances.

Daniel Otisk aka DeeSaxx is from Havirov city, Czechia and he plays saxophone since 2002. He graduated from the elementary art school with saxophone and there he played in the local orchestra and also with his favourite jazz band many years. He also graduated from the university as a system engineer.

His biggest achievements are seasonal performances at many places in Ibiza, St. Tropez, Cannes, Alpe d’Huez, Cape Verde. In Mallorca, he performs every summer at Nikki Beach. In winter in Austrian or French Alps, e.g. for Club Med hotels. One of his most interesting experience is from Saudi Arabia, where he played several days on the public event sponsored by General Entertainment Authority or in luxury hotels W Doha in Qatar and W Muscat in Oman.

Saint Martin

In October 2023, he had the honor to perform on the island of St. Martin in the Caribbean as part of a birthday party for Indian clientele. He was invited together with a DJ from India and a percussionist from Switzerland and it was a really unique performance – they had a great energy of the audience who enjoyed a mixture of electronic dance music, pop, RnB and elements of Indian music. They played throughout the evening at the Coco Beach venue on a beautiful beach overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. It was a very nice opportunity to share joy together with an audience from different corners of the world.

Norway

Since March 2022, he has been part of the Norwegian artist agency PLAY, thanks to which he plays together with DJs and other musicians at various events in this country. He performed in the largest Scandinavian apres-ski club Stavkroa in Hemsedal, in the covered and artificially created ski resort SNØ Oslo or e.g. in the famous FireFine and Barmuda clubs in Trondheim as entertainment part of the Norwegian Constitution Day. Paradoxically, he has the strongest experience from Norway while traveling from the town of Røros (where he played at a wedding), because he came face to face with wild reindeer and moose at sunrise 🙂

Maldives & India

In April 2022, he fulfilled one of his dreams and performed several times at the new RIU Palace hotel resort in the Maldives. The reward for the enthusiastic management of the hotel was a stay in a luxurious house on the water.

Unusual performances in his career undoubtedly include the one in New Delhi, India, where he was invited to perform his show as part of a multi-day wedding at the 5* Hotel Kempinski, and in the eastern city of Kolkata, where it was a corporate party for a renowned Indian company and that on the rooftop of the JW Marriott Hotel. An interesting thing was the wish of both clients to learn local Indian songs 🙂

French Alps

During winter 2020, he enjoyed the alpine atmosphere in the Alpe d’Huez ski area in France, where he stayed for almost 3 months. However, due to the pandemic, he had to return to the Czech Republic earlier. He performed primarily for the 4* hotel resort Club Med together with various singers and DJs, but also in several other local hotels and businesses. In total, he played almost 50 performances.

Ibiza & Mallorca

In 2017 he spent the summer season in IBIZA where he began simply from the bottom. Since June he‘s got there a lot of great references and regular gigs in beach clubs, restaurants, cocktail bars and hotels (totally 16 venues). He performed there for hotel chain brands as Barceló Hotels, MELIÁ Hotels or Iberostar Hotels (SeaSoul Beach Club) etc. He also showed his performance at Nikki Beach Ibiza and e.g. in one of the most famous clubs in Ibiza – Km5 (the main time of their 23rd anniversary).

He hosted his performance in the local radio show of the largest electronic radio in Spain – LOCA FM. The web of the Santa Eulalia Town wrote the article about his performing in Ibiza. (www.santaeulaliatown.com)

During the summer, he also regularly returns to Nikki Beach Mallorca, one of the world’s most recognized beach club chains, where he first appeared in 2016. The following year, thanks to this, he came under the British company Sintillate, which organizes regular summer parties there. During the summer of 2019, DeeSaxx played 6 shows there.

St. Tropez & Cannes

During the summer season of 2018, he was based in french riviera where he had the residencies in beachclubs Eden Plage St. Tropez and Long Beach Cannes. Besides, he has performed several times at private parties around includes the party in Nikki Beach St. Tropez.

Middle East

In the fall of 2019, Daniel flew to Qatar at the W Doha hotel, and then to Oman at the W Muscat hotel during the Christmas holidays of 2021. These lifestyle hotels belong to the chain of one of the most prestigious 5* hotels W Hotels.One of the most interesting experience is from Saudi Arabia, where he performed several days at the Perfume and Roses Festival in Jeddah sponsored by General Entertainment Authority in February 2018.

He was also part of a gala dinner at the French Embassy at the invitation of the French ambassador in Jeddah. He also appeared on a local radio show on Saudia Radio with a Saudi DJ that was broadcast live across the country. A big surprise for him was, for example, the ban on dancing in public spaces.

Zakynthos & Crete

In May 2018 he was a part of the season-opening party of the great Candy Club Malia on Greece island Crete. In summer 2016 he performed at boat parties by VVIP Zante and Rum & Raybans. Then at one of the most famous beachclubs in Greece, Pure Beachclub. We can’t forget to mention his performance in the prestigious ELEON Grand Hotel – the chain of Atlantica Hotels, where he played at the Swedish wedding.

Cape Verde

In winter 2016/17 he spent over six months in Cape Verde, where he performed exclusively for the world-known hotel chain MELIÁ Hotels International. He performed also in local TUI Sensimar and Cape Verde’s most luxurious venue, Bikini Beach Club. There on NYE 17, he played with famous American producer Sandy Rivera in his set!

Private & business events

His activities also include performing at private and corporate parties, such as weddings, celebrations or other types of events anywhere in the world. He performed, for example, several times in England, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria, France, Spain or at weddings in Latvia, Slovenia, Poland and Greece. With his show, Daniel also went to the Austrian Alps, specifically to the noble Mama Thresl hotel in Leogang.

TV shows

Daniel has notable experience also with performing in television. In 2012 he participated in International talent TV show competition Czech & Slovakia’s Got Talent, where he finished in the semi-final round. In September 2017 he performed as a guest star on the beauty contest Miss Face Czech Republic 2017, which was live-streamed in the national Óčko TV. In June 2024, he was invited as a guest to the program Dobré ráno on Czech Television as part of the 178th anniversary of the patenting of the saxophone.
